Carver Weeks was born in Lawrenceville, Georgia in 1995. His photographic explorations began with the discovery of a Canon AE-1 Program, which his father had used during his days in college. His earliest rolls were clumsy, trying to learn how to use the camera in the hallways of his high school and public parks of his hometown. High school video production classes introduced him to digital video, and he was quickly inspired by his educators and classmates alike to pursue video as a creative outlet. He would shoot, edit and premier his first full length project, Tape Era, by the time of his graduation in 2014.

After moving to Atlanta for continued education, Carver began to use photography as a way to document the world around him, particularly the lives of his peers he had met through Atlanta's prolific skateboarding scene. He continued filming skateboarding through his college career, completing two more full length projects, Format (2016) and Three Chip Mafia (2017) with the help of Austin Sneed and Martin Baird, by the time of his graduation in 2018. He would collaborate with Sneed once more for his final Atlanta-based skateboarding film, Off the Clock, which premiered in 2020. Throughout the duration of these projects, Carver would use photography to document the process of filming skateboarding, creating a collection of behind-the-scene moments associated with these experiences that took him and his friends further from home than they had ever been.

Following the pandemic, Carver sought a change of scenery and moved to Wyoming where he lived and worked in Yellowstone National Park through the Summer of 2020. He was quickly captivated by the Northern Rockies and settled in Montana by the end of the year, finding work in photographic retail in Bozeman. Carver spends his time exploring the rivers and peaks of the region, as well as Montana's relics of mining and railroad infrastructure, documenting the decay of the West's history, primarily on monochromatic film.
